WaSP InterAct Curriculum

I joined the WaSP InterAct Curriculum site awhile back, I would make the suggestion to others that want to join a movement to better the web experience for everyone to do so also, it will benefit everyone in the long run and there are many great people there that not only run it and have organized it, but know a thing or two about the web and where we need to push things.

WaSP InterAct is a living, open curriculum based upon web standards and best practices, designed to teach students the skills of the web professional. Adapt and reuse our resources. Contribute your own content and ideas.

Web Design Courses and Dreamweaver

The local college and the local school that offers college courses offers web design as a course. Both these courses use Dreamweaver as the aid for students to help them in their learning. The only thing I have a gripe with is that the local courses for college credits list Dreamweaver as

the industry standard.

If you’re reading this article, I would like to hear your input. Do you think this is so? Is Dreamweaver the “industry standard” and if not, what are your thoughts? What would your “standard” be? What do you use in your aid and if you were the instructor, what would you use as your aid to help students learn web design?
